Getting outside
At lunchtime, even if it's only for a few minutes, is a good way of recharging. The morning's deluge had given way to bright blue sky, and the children saw a fox in the bushes while they were out playing in the sensory garden. They ran towards it shrieking with excitement, so beat a hasty retreat.
This evening's entertainment ( which I could do with a clear conscience, because I've done my online tax return : yay!) was climbing at the Warehouse. The only thing I'd climbed in the past three weeks was the stairs, and it showed! I struggled with even the most basic routes, but enjoyed myself nonetheless. I am going to try to go more often, because I'll get more out of it I am in practice. Besides, I can always go home and sit on the sofa and eat chocolate afterwards, instead of all evening!
Next deadline is some poems about Screen Dreams, for the inaugural Stroud Film Festival in April this year. The submissions date is less than a week away though, because a book/ pamphlet is to be published. I've been racking my brains and come to the conclusion that I'll have to write something about horror films. Or films in a foreign language.
Tomorrow, a lie-in! But I still have three hours at school/nursery, and teaching at the rehab in the afternoon. Still, it's the only weekday where I don't have to get up before seven.
