Aubergines

Almost forgot to blip, so snapped a quick shot of part of our dinner- sorry I know this is one of many people's pet hates. For those who do like to know, this is a version of Ottolenghi's aubergine tricolore from the Plenty book. Despite having no capers or mozzarella available, it still tasted good.

In other news, Rufus hound was an errant escapee for most of the afternoon. His 'canifugue' collar is not working so he is able to slip out of the perimeter without impediment. I tried to coax him back from the farm fields several times but he blatantly ignored me. He finally came back exhausted and penitent/pissed off that he had to surrender- it's hard to tell which.

Replacement collar on its way, so his days of freedom are numbered.
