Two Pencils

One of the images that came out in response to yesterday's atrocities was that of a broken pencil being sharpened to make two pencils. The subtext being: you can't kill free speech, we'll only come back stronger.

By coincidence I spotted these two lying on the pavement, perfectly parallel, while I was out walking the dog this morning. Presume they fell out of someone's school bag...
