My birthday

Today is my birthday. I was made a cake to make every British Bake Off disaster look like a masterpiece. Darren is no cook, nor is he a baker. He even cheated in that he got his guys at the store to make the icing for him. Even with the extra help the assembly was higgledy piggledy chaos of pink, brown and white. It may not have passed muster with Mary Berry but to me it was perfect because what it lacked in presentation (and it pretty much lacked presentation), taste or texture it made up for in the lashings and lashings of love that was bestowed on every dollop and chocolate drop.
