Contrasts

The cornus gives a welcome splash of colour in the garden in January! There are several primroses out around it, but they are looking a little drenched and somewhat sad today! It rained hard all night and early this morning. But the sun came out later this morning!
Collected the WI programmes for the new year from the printers this morning, then to the vet to pick up some Joint Aid for Russet, to the bank....so had a little lunch out while we were in town!
On the way there and back, we had to go through a little flood on the road,in a place not usually under water, so it was unexpected. 
But a glance at the fields as we reached the outskirts of our village showed that they are already under water in many places.
