Lambhill Cemetery Gate

There are three cemeteries run by Glasgow City Council at Cadder, St Kentigern's, Western Necropolis and Lambhill.  There was a time when only Catholics were buried in St Kentigern's, other denominations and those of  no denomination would have been buried in the other two cemeteries, I'm very glad that in these enlightened days this is no longer the case.  This is the old entrance to Lambhill Cemetery, now blocked off and neglected, and as you can see today, flooded.  The main Balmore Road on the other side of the gate is flooded too causing a lot of bad temper from drivers trying to make their way through the water.  Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any plans in the near future to renovate it. You can read about the gate here
