Smashing Lad

An old photograph but one of my favourite 'Scouting' photographs of my son.
Joshua has received a letter inviting him to County Hall on the 25th January to receive his Gold Scouting Award. As his parents we are "as proud as punch"
There was a time when I thought with everything else he had to occupy his time he might 'drop' scouting but he told me; "Dad I started it and I'll finish it when I get to the Explorer stage". He's reached the Explorer stage and remains committed to Scouting and is able to do so with the help and understanding of his leaders who realise that shooting, Army Cadets and Rugby are just as important to Josh as Scouting and that he can do it all if he wants to.
Well done son.
