Dead on the Highway
Evening all.
A few months go, or maybe even last year there was a bit of a controversy about the Badgers and a proposed cull to stop them spreading the TB (i think)
Judging by the scenes of death and devastation by the sides of our roads at the moment you would be forgiven for thinking that the cull was being carried out by the motoring community,on a bounty for the number of badgers flattened.
Can anyone remember the 'Tufty club'?
Surely there was a badger in that gang, have they learned nothing? did that squirrel get knocked over for no reason.
No, they follow a path, look left, look right, who cares, step out, get killed.
silly sods!
( there is a school of thought that is more sinister and is to do with dumped carcasses from baiting, but we'll ignore that in the interest of brevity)
or maybe its a Weasel Execution squad aggrieved at their bad press in wind in the willows....
(i've only ever seen two wild badgers, once crossing a country road at dusk, and the other crossing a field with one of its young in its mouth)
Night all
