The best of days

I had to work late tonight but Nikki suggested I pop home for an hour in the evening to play with the wee man, as he was missing me.

Sometimes I think she exaggerates slightly about how much he wants to see me but I couldn't doubt her sincerity tonight. As soon as I walked through the door, his face lit up 'Dada!!!!' He jumped up and ran towards me, saying 'Gimme a hug!'.


It totally makes being a Dad the best thing ever. Now if only I could get Nikki to show the same level of excitement when I walk through the door...
