Yellow submarine

ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle ) entering the water. Pretty useful these things, basically an unmanned submersible, that provides our eyes on the seabed. Operated by ROV "pilots" from a shack on our deck via the umbilical.

These ROV's carry out seabed surveys, monitor the wellhead for any problems, take photo's and video and can even do some physical tasks as they are equipped with robotic arms.

The ROV will be lowered to the desired depth and then be driven away from the yellow cage, still connected though by the umbilical cable which is the yellow one just inside the cage.
