Some time ago plans were submitted for Afc Fylde to build a new stadium but they were rejected.

A different (and as it turns out better) site was found and the plans went in again.

After initial permission was granted the Secretary of State wanted to see the plans too.

With permission granted from him there was just one issue to address from a resident who made a legal challenge of sorts about landing his helicopter on land opposite.

So this afternoon final permission was granted for Afc Fylde to build a new stadium that will be ready for the Football League.

With a team on the pitch doing brilliantly well and a team off the pitch to match, this breaking news is very exciting.
