Picturesque Pispala

My absolute favourite district of Tampere is Pispala. Located only a moments walk away from the city centre, yet so close to tranquillity. Situated on the highest ridge/esker in Finland, between two breathtakingly beautiful lakes, with the oldest, most picturesque, traditional, wooden Nordic architecture.

A 'bank holiday' here in Finland today. I enjoyed a visit to my friends in Pispala. How I envy their beautiful home! Game playing, movie watching, cake eating, perfect way to spend a relaxing free day.
