and it's not even christmas..
...so who would have thought that mistletoe was co-existing with a wattle tree just a couple of hundred metres up the road!
Thinking this was a northern hemisphere plant, loitering in trees and doorways for a stolen christmas smooch and a wintery discussion point on 'The Archers', I was very surprised to learn that of the 1500 species found worldwide, 71 are endemic to Aus and the Australian Christmas Tree, Nuytsia floribunda, is the biggest mistletoe in the world!
There is one that blooms big, bold and orange every Christmas at the end of our street, so look out for the blip!
