In The Occupied Territory

Nightclubbing

This splendid twin towers belonged to, what was at some point in the not too distant past, a church.
Nowadays, like a lot of churches in Aberdeen, it's purpose has been re-invented.
This one now goes under the moniker of The Priory, you see what they have done there, very clever? (or not)
It is now an establishment where young people go to get, " tanked up" and take in a bit of nightclubbing.
The first church coversion that I remember was back in the sixties when one was turned into a youth club. Remember them?
There was a big fuss about it at the time. It was called The Place, but is now, and has been for several decades, flats.
Flats, offices, nightclubs and even a casino called Soul, were all in the past, places of worship. Now most young folk worship at the feet of the great god Jaegar Bomb.
One can be as bad as the other.
MMMM. Now I am off for a pint.
(Not really, I am off to work.)
