A different kind of birdwatching

Today was the monthly meeting of our birdwatching group. The weather forecast was dreadful so we went to the house of two members and watched DVDs, one about birds and one about Mull wildlife.

This kingfisher was in their house. A year or two ago it flew into the windscreen of their car, got caught under the windscreen wiper and died immediately. They had it stuffed and put under a glass dome where it resides in their hall.

We did a bit of birdwatching though, through their window while having drinks and biscuits - by far the best place!

I could have had a different blip - a flock of long tailed tits were on my bird feeders just when I was on the phone. They'd gone by the time I could get away!
