Meal with the family

So - a full day - starting with an early morning session at the local Pot Black at the busstand, we went up to the 'uppa' house and lifted and re-seated the upstairs floor. The tongue and groove ( a simple 'S' version of it) had shrunk since laying - and we squeezed the gaps across the whole span by 3" once done. Dirty dusty work - down for a quick shower and an invite to eat with the family. As usual we were pushed up the rankings and eat in the 1st shift - women & younger members eating after.
The photo is less about eating a meal - more about the construction of the house - these ancient beams 400+ years old, are coated in tar (from previous open fires, before the tandoor) and look to happily support the huge slabs of slate on the roof for 400 more.
Rice, Dahl, some Sabji we provided and some home-made pickles. Not walnuts this time - Amli I think they were - the only thing I'm sure of - that they were delicious.
