Dunstanburgh
After a fairly rainy and at time stormy night we wandered down to Dunstanburgh Castle. A really lovely walk and thought the fields and eventually along the cliffs to the castle itself. Along the way we bumped into some lasses that were with some marine conservancy group doing a cetacean survey. After lending the kids some binoculars Callum announced he had spotted a harbour porpoise 50 metres from the shore. Great excitement ensued with much point as the girls scribbled down their note, several other porpoises were spotted and we eventually draw quite a crowd wondering what all the pointing was.
A fine wee afternoon.
