Sup Torpedo

I continued my food adventure of Penang. One dish that had come up in a few articles (and popularised by Anthony Bourdain) was Sup Torpedo, a soup and reported aphrodisiac at a nearby restaurant called Sup Hameed. When I asked for it, the waiter grinned and gestured for me to follow him. He then said "penis" and pointed at a plate of long bull penises. Not exactly appetising. Somehow all of the articles I read had neglected to mention the main ingredient.

They convinced me to order it but I asked for only a small amount. The soup was pretty tasty but very strong. I only tried a bit of the meat and it was actually fairly good and tasted like normal beef.
