Donemark
According to the Lebor Gabála Érenn, 'The Book of the Taking of Ireland' or 'Book of Invasions', the first people to come to Ireland landed here at Dun na mBarc, 'Donemark', or 'Fort of the Ships' led by Cessair. and there is a nice juicy story attached to that if you want to look it up.
They knew how to pick a good view in those days. Today there was a bit of every type of weather rolling around the horizon as the tide came in and nearly cut us off.
Edit: Derelict Thursday Challenge
SarumStroller may be away from internet connectivity while in Bristol so he has asked that his Derelict Thursday challenge is given a mention.
As it will be now be Thursday for some of you already, the challenge is definitely on! All you need to do is to tag your entry derelictThursday (no spaces and you don't need the '#' tag. The capitalised 'T' doesn't make any difference to the results)
To search for entries you DO need the tag - lik this #derelictThursday. (no spaces)
The search takes a few moments to index your tagged entry so it may not show immediately in search results.
SarumStroller will get round to this week's entries when he returns.
