Purple Columbine

Having been rather pleased with my white Columbine against the "white" sky last Sunday, I wondered what one of the purple Columbines might look like against a totally blue sky today!

I tried so many times to get a good shot, but to no avail! Every time I thought I had a good composition, the wind would blow and the little Columbine would turn this way and that! Talk about frustration!

We don't always have the sapphire skies we had today, so I had to just go with the best of the photos I took today.
