The Catlins

The Catlins is a beautiful area that offers a wonderful mix of scenery and wildlife.  Today I've seen beautiful beaches, inlets teeming with birdlife, waterfalls, windswept hills, penguins, sea lions and minimal humans.

A magic place for a few days rest.  

This is Purakuanui Falls.  

I took photos of all those different Catlins aspects today (except the people).  I even got to a waterfall I'd never been to before.   I've had to shortlist and then go eeney meeney miney mo in order to select today's blip.  Not enough internet to post any others on flickr so that'll have to wait for another time.
