Today, exactly four years to the day that Amelie pulled a hot cup of tea down over herself and had her only a&e trip to date*, Isaac fell off the arm of the sofa (not for the first time today either...) and crashed head first into a dvd case on the floor. It smashed and cut him quite badly on the head. It was pouring with blood (as head injuries do) and his mouth was bleeding too. I panicked a bit as i couldnt really see the cut through the blood, called 111 and they said to take him straight to a&e. Of course it had stopped bleeding by the time we got there and he was alert and happy. Good job because we spent the next 3.5 hours in the waiting room... Chris took Amelie to tesco for a few bits and Isaac just played. He actually had a really good time, bless him. He made a new friend and kept taking her hand to lead her around. Until they fell out over a jingly teddy bear toy... Anyway the Doctor eventually saw him and assesed him, bright as a button aparently even though he refused to do her tests! Then we waited until they had done their changeover and he was seen by a nurse to clean and glue the wound.

We finally got home about 9. Isaac fell asleep in the car but woke when I tried to take him upstairs. I did them a quick dinner, Amelie had a bath and I had a bath with Isaac and we wolfed down leftover fish pie which I am immensely glad was in the fridge!

Its now 11pm and everybody is asleep except me! Ive got Isaac next to me so I can remain on concussion watch and not have to leave my bed.

*She was absolutely fine and I think the tea was less hot than I first thought it to be...
