MonoMonday: New Goosegrass burrs

Spotted in the hedge at the farm today, I'd never seen them before (hence submitting them for today's Mono Monday New theme). Apparently geese like to eat them.

They are about the size of peppercorns. Fortunately I had my macro lens on the camera (it was that kind of grey weather that makes near a far more interesting proposition than far) and the photo here is very slightly cropped.
