At the Queen Hotel Chester

This is a very odd hotel. OTT seriously understates it. The caption on the I newspaper - King blames Queen for stifling growth - a rather tortured telling of the Governor of the Bank pf England describing the Jubilee celebrations as a factor in the slow economic recovery - clashed pleasingly with the Union Flag-embroidered chair. Here for a couple of hours to meet colleagues and attend the AGM of my professional association. It's good to be part of a community. Even if they do hold their conferences in some strange places!
