A quiet day.......

My cold and cough is not budging so a day indoors seemed the sensible thing. Not a problem, just would have been better without the cold.

The Christmas tree came down and boy, did it cry this year! It was supposed to be non-drop but the needles fell like a very prickly rain shower. D did a magnificent hoovering job afterwards but I am sure those little green things will be with us for some time. 

It all looks rather bare here now but the memories of a happy holiday will stay. Things are back in place with a few new additions.

I tried to stay awake this evening to watch a film on TV but failed. Must have been the gentle light from these candles together with the warmth of the log fire......not complaining if it helps me get better for THE OFF this week.
