SOUTHAMPTON BLIPMEET

We had a trip to Southampton today for a Blipmeet with Tinkerbelle and Mr. T who had seen their daughter off at Heathrow airport yesterday and then come on down here.  

Here are Mr. T and Mr. HCB lounging nonchalantly on the bannister at the top of the escalator in John Lewis.  I am amazed that even with the sales in full swing, I never even opened my purse - as Mr. HCB says, that must be a first!

It was great to see our lovely friends again - I had seen them once since we visited them in May last year, but Mr. HCB hadn’t seen them since then.  While Tinkerbelle and I chatted about family matters, Mr. T and Mr. HCB chatted about much more important things like gardening and how to grow large vegetables.  It was just as if we had seen them only last week!

We had coffee and then lunch together but sadly had to leave them soon after that as Tinkerbelle is flying back to Guernsey this afternoon.  

So, despite all the whinging about the white background, and a myriad other things that people are still finding difficult with this new website, today just PROVED that the platform may change, but people don’t!  

Thanks for everything, you lovely people - hope it isn’t too long before we see you again.

A strong friendship doesn’t need

P.S.  I also left one of my Post-it Notes for Stephen, the man who cleared our table in John Lewis!
