Mt. Karioi

Eight of us from Solscape headed up Mt. Karioi late in the afternoon for a tramp out of the heat of the mid-day sun. We didn't know each other on the way up but after songs, mud jumps, chain climbs, trail mix chocolate hunting, split pants, boy farts and summit beers we were all friends - German, US, Canadian, Scottish and Dutch. We ended the day with a sunset dip at Ruapuke beach, a beach fire and some new NZ friends over beer and snacks. It was hard to pick a photo from the day. The sun and skies in NZ don't fail to give the greatest selection of shots.
