Lazy sunday

We had an amazing family dinner last night, it was late but still very warm by the time we all went to bed but luckily for me all boys slept in this morning and so did i until nearly 9!!

We got up and it was already hot.

Being tired and the heat a bit much we decided to go to the lazy sunday at the botanic gardens where every Sunday during the summer they have a band play in the afternoon.

So we packed up the essentials, chairs and blankets, food and drink, we headed there and found a shady spot to rest in away from the scorching sun.

Our family joined us and it was so lovely to lie about and enjoy the music on such a beautiful summers day!

They had a couple of vendors selling cold drinks and ice creams, one vendor was selling coffee.

We all had a great time.

When it finished we took all the boys to the playground for a play and fed the ducks (and a huge eel) along the way.

Around 6 we decided we should eat so a perfect way to end a kiwi summers day? fish and chips!! Followed by a delicious cup of miso soup made by my sister in law!
