Pied-billed Grebe

Another amazing day here in Portland Oregon...found a cute little pied-billed Grebe in a nearby lake. They are powerful swimmers and can remain underwater from 16-30 seconds. It feeds on crustaceans, fish, amphibians, insects and other invertebrates.

Off to choir this afternoon....time for our annual photo, and then we are going to have a "sing-a-long" of old tunes from the 30's and 40's. Always a fun time!!!
