Definitely in Canada

We woke up to a very empty house - most people had left early to ski or return back to Vancouver for work later in the day. We packed up, cleaned and left to stop at the end of the road. The whole of Alta Lake had frozen over so we got out and went for a walk - ON the frozen lake! British brain blown. Some families had cleared the snow and had built ice hockey rinks, some people were (kinda) figure skating and there was even a fire on the lake. We then hopped in the car and enjoyed the views all the way back to Silverdale place where we all collapsed onto the sofa and napped until Lisa came home and woke us up in time to go to a traditional New Years Day party with family friends! We enjoyed an evening of more food, chatting and board games
