Dedicating Zion

The big event today was the dedication of our grandson this evening - here he is on the platform with his parents, godparents, and our minister. It's different from a christening, as no water is involved (our church leaves that for the child to decide for himself), but an acknowledgement that this child is a gift from God (for which we are SO grateful), and a promise to bring him up in the love of God.

Yet another building on tradition, as we dedicated his Mum on this same platform, with a lot of the same people present, and like them, we then shared out one of the layers of our wedding cake.
