Hoy

Well I’m not really sure where it began or finished.  Suffice it to say that I took a bottle of malt to Hoy and now it’s empty.  Went to first foot folk in Racwick and met in with a few Mowats.  We later ended up at Frankie’s hoose - and a right fine cosy peedie hoose it is too.  After an interlude Frankie then lent towards me and whispered an endearment in my lug.  Of course F’s wife and CMC knew what was going on.  Frankie has the habit of always having a ‘deal of the day’.  This time it was ‘illicit whisky’.  So illicit in fact it was in a wine bottle and had arrived from Speyside via F’s ‘usual supplier’.  At times like this I normally start hitting mesel’ in my face with my fist.  But not this time.  It was a truly warm / mellow and full bodied malt.

After going through a sex change (and luckily back the way again) the Current Mrs Creel decided (on my behalf) that it was time to go.  So we walked home from Quoyness (pron Whaness) to Garson.  The Blip shows CMC heading into the heart of Hoy.  It doesn’t stop there.  We helped create a traffic snarl.  CMC’s nephew, Adam had been called out to the Hoy Resvr by Scottish Water.  Of course he came along the road and switched the truck engine off for an update.  Immediately he offered to sell me his old satellite dish.  Then CMC’s Uncle came along and joined in.  Next was Adam’s wife who then gave us a lift to Garson.  CMC made sure I caught the last boat home.  Visiting on Hoy is not for the faint hearted.
