In love?!
Ok - I know it's early but I may be in love! I can't say it's really new as many years ago we had a bit of a relationship, but the timing wasn't right and other things got in the way. Now however it might be right. Lets face it, neither of us is getting any younger and time is not on our side and new is not always better. Time has not been as kind as it could have been, particularly as regards to the head, but it lends a certain charm, I could grow to love the new appearance if everything else works out! Fully functional in every other respect!
I am of course talking about my tripod!
I got going late in the day after lots of tidying, but not much cleaning apart from 2 loads of washing. The light had been poor all day and by the time I left early to do the chickens it was beginning to mizzle ( Light rain / drizzle "the stillness that comes with a Cornish mizzle.") So having grabbed treats of over ripe pears and the last of the chestnut and cranberry xmas stuffing ( yes I did get round to clearing out my fridge!) I grabbed my tripod and off we went in search of something to test us!
Much fun had in the churchyard but the ones I wanted just didn't come off and I knew could be a lot better another day. However this one just appealed and with a play in Lightroom I liked the old look and feel to it - so blip it is!
Popped up to return cables for my friends internet mobile parts seller partner. They had relatives for the eve so we sat in the kitchen and discussed our siblings who seem to have some similarities, not exactly sociable, living with or socialising mainly with parents until their death. In regards to my sister we seem to have inherited genes and characteristics from different relatives and the nurture has given us the same memories and some interests and shared values, but otherwise we are like chalk and cheese!
We also had a good old chat about the changes in Blipfoto. I woke this morning with the Rick Astley song in my head -Never Gonna Give You Up! I have no idea why that song was in my head - don't remember hearing it or seeing a reference to it in Blipland or Facebook - apologies if I did indeed see it somewhere and I can't give credit ( or a scolding!) Its never was nor is my cup of tea - but there is something catchy to it, and the words seem to fit with the blip changes - not sure who is singing it to whom or who should be! But I will sing it to you as you are reading this and I intend to stay in Blipland! Maybe I should sing it to my tripod too?! Damn thing won't get out of my head and somehow I seem to know most of the words so might as well!!!
P.S. Received another commission today! My friends mum came to Crackington Haven with us and we had had a discussion about photographs on graves - I don't like it and believe if they have to be there they should be in Black and White! She had said how she didn't have a decent photo of herself to go on her grave - she had been looking! She doesn't like photographs of herself at all! Well turns out she liked the one I had taken of her that day and was going to use that when the time came if nothing better was ever taken! So I said I would take some more for her! Now where, and dressed in what, should this photoshoot be set? Would holding white lillies be a step too far? Maybe holding one of her favourite chickens? Oh this is going to provide amusement for a long time to come when we meet up in future!!
