The Artist

Even though the weather was down right awful today we went to an artist reception for the wife of one of R's friends and former co-worker.

Some of her artwork is being displayed (they are also for sale) at a local store throughout the month of January and they were having a reception in her honor today.  

It was nice to meet her and catch up with her husband, Michael.  We also met their daughter and son-in-law, as well as other art lovers. 

My picture is of Ellen standing in front of some of her beautiful paintings.  The painting over her shoulder (on the right) is of the Arno River in Florence, Italy.
