It was an unexpectedly stunning afternoon and I had not intended to go far, setting off late, but ended up getting to within a handshake of High Street.  As I headed up I watched the low clouds and mist fall back from Wansfell, push away down Windermere and off across Morecambe Bay leaving clear blue skies overhead.
