I don't know why I've never tried ginger ale before - it is rather nice and not as intense as ginger beer.

We had a nice visit from our Newport friends today and celebrated Christmas style with crackers and party poppers. It was a great catchup ahead of their wedding planned for May. That gives me great diet incentive - can't be a matronly natron of honour after all.

Just one more day of the holiday break before it is back to work on Monday. Will have to make the most of tomorrow's last day of freedom.
