The Grand Chandelier
I had been out with a friend seeing a movie, having lunch and engaging in conversations about our outlook on life and plans for the coming year. I guess these things come up after the New Year revelries come to an end! On our way home we passed by the Playhouse theater and noticed the beautiful chandelier hanging in the foyer. My friend took a few photos but I had forgotten my camera so after we said our goodbyes I went home and hurried back out camera in hand. By the time I came back the light had changed and the panes on the doors were covered in condensation. At first I was disappointed but after taking a few photos I realised that the glass distorting the objects inside was creating an interesting result. It makes the chandelier look as if it is throwing out speckles of light creating a halo around it, very painterly I think.
