Oplatky

The first part of today's text comes courtesy of Wikipedia: Christmas wafers (oplátky) in Slovakia are round (usually oval) and embossed with various Christmas motifs. They are eaten with honey (and sometimes with garlic) at the beginning of Christmas Eve's dinner.
Wonderful visitor AK brought these with her from Bratislava. We of course did it WITH garlic. For health. And hats off to her - she had already done this on Christmas Eve, in accordance with tradition, and did it with us again a few days later. The wafers are wonderful, the honey is sweeet, the raw garlic is eye-watering.
