Happy Hogmanay!
It was an early rise to get 4 adults and 2 little people all ready to head to Glasgow for a hogmanay day.
We started at the West End of Glasgow and went to see the "Penguins of Madagascar" in the morning. It was an amusing film and I think the kids loved it. Afterwards we headed to the city centre where we had a fabulous meal at Jamie's Italian.
As we went to lunch and on the way back there were a lot of flowers in memory of the people that lost their lives in the traffic accident there the previous week. It was very sad to see and heartwarming at the sheer volume of flowers from people paying their respects.
The kids had some rides on the fairground rides there. On the Carousel Aidan was trying his hardest to not smile so Jo and I were pulling funny faces to try to make him laugh and with perseverance it started to work.
We then went back to Jo's house where we played with the kids for a while. They got into their matching PJs at which point Niamh proclaimed proudly "Look at us, we are brothers!". She does say the funniest things. They both marched downstairs calling "we are the twins, we are the twins" to all of our chuckles.
We got out some crackers for the kids to play with before bedtime.
Stew cooked us up an amazing dinner, fantastic starter and roast duck with home made brownies for dessert. Awesome :)
Happy New Year everyone!
