Eventually

All those trees trimmed a few weeks back came in amazingly handy for our bonfire but oh boy did it take a long time to finally ignite. The night was a bit back to front in that we lit the bonfire and then fought to keep it lit for an hour or so. Eventually we gave up for a bit and let off the garden fireworks (which where a big success with zero success in photographing them) and ate dinner while having another go at getting the bonfire going. The trick it seems was to have nipped off to ASDA and buy a 'set this on fire' BBQ kindling pack which soon had the whole thing going great guns. So well that toasting the marshmallows was capable of removing eyebrows. Either way a great night, the weather stayed clear, calm and rain free and the kids enjoyed themselves.
