Hanging on!

Being a real tree in a smallish room with underfloor heating is a bit of a challenge, but it is doing its best to hang on to its needles!  The observant ones amongst you will see that there are also a few chocolates hanging on too . . . strangely!

A day of thunder and lightning and hailstones!  The hailstones were huge, as big as a Postman's thumbnail - he was out in his shed and saw them at close quarters!  The noise was incredible as they pelted down on the roof windows - Ollie was terrified.

Then the power went off, then it came on again but only at half strength, 100 volts.  The house lights came on, but only very dimly, there was enough power for the radio and phone but not the kettle or heating!   The Calor gas  boat cooker came into  its own and we were able to have a cup of coffee before the power was back up to strength in the late afternoon. 

An exciting day!
