We went to the annual 'Christmas at the Lakes' where there were a couple of fair ground rides and concerts from the local schools, later on there are fireworks but we just stuffed our faces and headed back home.  Good thing too as the fireworks were canceled because there was a house on fire close by and the firemen were dealing with that.  Turns out the fire was caused by some muppet and his meth lab-how lovely.
