Water view

We finally found a spot on the water. This after muddy legs and a broken down boat on the far side of the dam, kayaking a replacement battery over to them and a few people swimming the width of the dam uust to pass the time.
Once we were settled, everyone had a ball. The children (and adults) splashed and swam off the shore. The kayaks were never on shore for long and Garry and Tracy spent the time driving the boat giving everyone a turn on the tube. We hadn't packed lunch but luckily had lots of snacks and drinking water.
We paid the price though, despite copious amounts of sunscreen and are all quite red in places.
This afternoon a steady stream of cars has been arriving, presumably for New Years Eve parties. They have set up gazebos and eskys and will probably not get much sleep tonight.
