.........new day, new year, new routine.......

Not likely...........this shot shows the aftermath of our New Year's Day.

The plan was:
A relatively early night just after the year turned
Up around 8.00 with Charlie and Hannah
Breakfast for the Boss, the Daughter, Charlie, Hannah and me around 9.00
The S&H and YH to collect the girls mid morning, go home for the afternoon and come back for a roast dinner around 5.00
A quiet afternoon, a rest for the Boss and I, and football on tv
Dinner for 7 of us, prawns starter, roast beef dinner, apple pie
A few drinks and a quiet evening
An early night....the Boss is back to work tomorrow

The reality was:
Into bed at 1.30
Wide awake at 4.30
Charlie up and about at 7.00
Hannah wide awake at 8.00
Breakfast at 10.00.......the Daughter appeared ....ate three fork fulls and excused herself........not to be seen again until much later
The S&H and YH arrived just before 12.00.and announced their decision to stay for the whole day
Noisy afternoon..no rest..but we did manage to watch the football
YH and I began to feel queasy. probably what made the girls ill yesterday.
Dinner for six of us.......the Daughter appeared around 6.00 p.m....but didn't eat
Only YH and I managed to complete all three courses
A hurried departure for the family
Me off to bed........... feeling ill
The Daughter made cheese on toast.........the only food she could face
Wide awake at 10.00........rumbling guts!
A glass of water.....back to bed.

So that was our New Year Day...........just like normal for 2014.

Blood test in the morning at 8.50...........and I might go see the boys at the fishing hut.
The Boss will be at work until 10.00 p.m.
The Daughter is going out for the evening.
Dinner for 1.....left overs anybody?
