Monopoly

A different new year for us this year.

We stayed in. We had pickies for tea. A slow cooker full of mulled wine and we played monopoly.

I won monopoly. I bought 3 properties, put houses on them and then got some hotels. I won the game because the last one in apart from me landed on my property, and couldn't afford my rent even with all his properties too. so I won.

Next up was poker but that is not my game. I lost.

2014 has been a different year. I'm Not sure how it can have been a better year than the one before (2013), when the one person I desperately wanted to be here is not.

We haven't had the battles of 2013, we raised a lot of money for charities for mam, we made it through 1st anniversaries, we had a family holiday and I had a birthday celebration. I've cooked a second Christmas dinner for everyone and we've had a different new year.

In all It's not been a bad year and the photograph is the moment I won Monopoly.
