Walkers at Alcock Tarn

A familiar walk out of Grasmere to Alcock Tarn. The wind was very strong near the top of the climb up to the tarn, able to blow us over if we took an in cautious step. We stood and watched some nice sunbeams playing over Windermere lake in the far distance ( always too elusive for me to capture in a photo)

From the end of the tarn there is often this kind of silhouette shot of walkers crossing the ' lost edge ' of the Tarn, where water flows out through a small channel in the bank and down into the valley below.
