Frensham Great Pond
What a shock on looking out of the window this morning - blue skies and above zero temperatures! So after breakfast, I packed Mum and camera kit into the car and headed over to the Devil's Punchbowl on the A3 near Hindhead. The intention was to have a nice cup of coffee in the National Trust cafe before leaving Mum with Classic FM on the radio and her Kindle to read while I took a gentle stroll through the common. However, our plans were wrecked: the Cafe was firmly closed, and with no other facilities around, we reluctantly moved on.
We ended up at Frensham Great Pond where a small cafe provide "take-away" coffee, and I took a walk along the beaches instead - and yes these really are sandy beaches even though the location is probably some 30 or 40 miles inland as the crow flies!
One benefit of this location was that I could have a play with my 10-stop filter and smooth out the waves in the water: just the job for today's January Challenge from Chantler63
