Rosehaugh Estate
We have resumed our walks on Rosehaugh now that the shooting season is nearly over. We met only 1 pheasant today, not many left now. I gave him directions to our garden where he can safely lurk for the next month until the season is officially over. The dogs promise to help keep him safe.
There was a lot of shooting in the dark last night, that seems to me to be the best time for them, by them I mean the ............. lovely gentlemen with their guns, to be out and about. But it was all quiet and tranquil this morning.
Bud has been inspecting the logs again. Poppy used to kindly bring some kindling home with her each time we went for a walk in the woods, but she seems to have given up now. I tried to encourage Bud to carry on the tradition but he prefers his ball.
