Bye bye Britain

We bade our sad farewells to the family and Chiara and James (No. 1 daughter and husband) drove us to the airport and then headed on down south (but not before waiting to make sure we had safely made it through check-in and so on).

I turned in the security check hall to see a blood red sun sinking below the horizon, so I whipped out my phone and took a couple of snaps - only to have the security officer come up behind me to say that not only is photography prohibited in there, but I would also have to delete the photos.

In a spirit of rebellion, I then stepped round the corner into the corridor and took a couple of shots - by which time,of course, the sun was long gone.

Now minds into neutral for the long journey back to Brazil.
