All a bit of a blur ...

We weren't ringing in the new year with our usual friends, and were undecided until the last minute about what to do or where to go. In the end, we just stayed in Carl's place, raised a glass of bubbly to the arrival of the new year, half watched some TV, downed a G&T or two, and somehow stayed up chatting until 7:00 am.
Before that we'd watched Prometheus in Carl's Kino. It was especially effective in 3D, with nicely subtle effects, but we ended up rather disappointed. It's a self-proclaimed 'prequel' to Alien, but we felt the references to that and to other sci-fi films were overdone. Some good shocks, though. We timed the visit to the cinema to perfection, winding up at 11:50 pm.
